There is magic in the landscapes of New Mexico and the secret in photographing them it's in the light. Light that creates photographs that could go away at any moment because of changes in luminosity. It can start with a long line of pink and dark clouds over the sky that captures the eye and invites you to keep on going, keep on driving. There is a place waiting to have its picture taken around the corner. You also have the geology of the landscape, with so much beauty and fragility of this natural environment. Landscapes with desert vegetation and landscapes with jaw dropping gorges. But light is just the beginning.
New Mexico is also the place of sacred lands and a profound spirituality that is woven with stories around them, making it even more inviting to photograph. These are not only images of landscapes and hills. These images tell a story, someone's story. You can feel it in the air, you can feel it in the soil that you walk on. The soil transmits a feeling of what history and destiny brought to them, and for me that translated into inspiration.
