The Grand Canyon is .... a sensory experience, majestic and hard to photograph. Seeing, really seeing the Grand Canyon can be a life long activity that many people love to do. As a photographer, capturing the essence of the Grand Canyon takes planning (best time to go, best areas to photograph, clouds, snow, rain, sun), preparation (where the light will be at sunrise, sunset and anywhere in between), and patience, a lot of patience. All of these things ran through my mind, and yes, I probably missed a few, after all it is the GRAND Canyon! People that have hiked the strenuous paths of this iconic place, have a different appreciation for the beauty, the historical symbolism and the geologic importance this place has. Overall, I think that my images capture the artistic vision that I was looking for: natural carvings, color and textures all in one majestic place.
